Colorful Acrylic Corn Painting

This 11x14 inch Acrylic on Canvas Corn Painting makes me hungry for summer! Have you ever spend the afternoon opening ears of corn (and panicking over earwigs that might be hiding in the shuck?) If so, this painting is for you.

Colorful Corn Painting done in Acrylic - The Fields Have Ears

I remember summer days preparing corn that had been gleaned from some of the farm fields near our home in Middleton, Idaho - We would shave the kernels off and freeze them for later so that we could enjoy fresh corn all year. We had a debate: What is the best way to remove corn from the cob?

Feel free to try out both methods, but Iā€™m pretty sure it was easier just using a large knife and working in sections than it was using the turkey carving knife!
